Request account deletion

Backpacker Hire users can request deletion of their account and the personal data associated with it at any time.

How to request deletion

Email support@abackpackersdream.com.au with the subject line “Delete my Backpacker Hire account”.

In your email, include:

• Your full name
• The email address or mobile number associated with your Backpacker Hire account

Please do not send your password, authentication code or identity documents. We may contact you using the details registered to your account to verify the request and protect your account from unauthorised deletion.

What happens next

After verifying your request, we will delete your Backpacker Hire account and the personal data associated with it. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

Some limited information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes. Any retained information will be handled in accordance with our privacy obligations and will not be retained for longer than necessary.
